Scotland #8 - Loch Nevis from Armadale

Driving along the narrow road to our base in Ardvasar, I caught site of this rock outcrop at the roadside, and how it seemed to almost mirror the distant hills and peaks on the far side of the Kyle Rhea.

I stopped and made a few exposures, but this wider view seems the most pleasing to my eye.  The lowering clouds echo the shapes and patterns of both the near and far rock formations.  Sadly, these were the meteorological conditions for most of this trip, but they just show another side of this multi-faceted isle, albeit the more dour and gloomy one.

If you live in these parts, you learn to accept whatever the weather gods send you, and appreciate the way the atmosphere and vista changes so massively from day to day.
